from this question am failing to determine if its a cross in which all are heterozygous or its a cross between a homozygous and heterozygous please help. A plant producing green seeds(G) with a rough bark(R) and large leaves (B) is required to be crossed with a plant which is a heterozygote. Carry out a cross using the punnet squire or checker board showing the trihybrid combinations. In which generation and from which progenies would you obtain a progeny dominant in all characters.
Do we use more of our father's DNA than of our mother's? There's been this mice studies that claim mammals might use more DNA from their fathers while silencing more of their mothers. They claimed allelic imabalce and parent of origin prefence in certain tissues. I was wondering if this is a valid claim. Constant and affecting a good number of alleles of if they just mean imprinted genes and the media is blowing the "You're more closely to your dad genetically" out of proportion. Thanks!
